Paul C. Browne, M.D.—President and Core Founder

Paul is the physician founder of EMF Disturbance Monitors, Inc.. He has practiced medicine for more than 35 years and has extensive experience in medical diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Browne invented the idea of electromagnetic field disturbance in 2007. After a successful Proof-of-Concept at the Georgia Institute of Technology (GA Tech) in 2008, he founded the company in 2011. Dr. Browne has been awarded patents for EMF disturbance technology in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, the U.K, the EU and China (Hong Kong).

Browne was raised in Winston Salem, NC and is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill and the Duke University School of Medicine. He has been on the faculty of multiple Southeastern medical schools including Duke University, Emory University, The Medical College of Georgia and The University of South Carolina.

Les A. Hamashima —CEO

This is Les’ third startup. He has an extensive business background ranging from Fortune 500 companies to starting two successful bootstrapped companies in the Research Triangle area of North Carolina. As co-founder and Chief Operating Officer, Les worked with two other owners to build a startup supply chain management software company and execute a profitable merger exit. In more than 40 years, he has also held senior-level roles at organizations including GTE (Verizon), SAS; and pre-IPO mobile platform provider, Motricity.

Les holds a degree in business administration, with a concentration in journalism from the University of North Carolina. His core competencies are marketing, operations and financial management.
